Alec is the founder and executive director emeritus of the Civil Rights Corps, and co-founder of the non-profit organization Equal Justice Under Law. He has been a civil rights lawyer and public defender in DC and Alabama. Alec is the author of Usual Cruelty: The Complicity of Lawyers in the Criminal Injustice System, and publishes a regular newsletter on Copaganda in the media called Alec’s Copaganda Newsletter.
